NOTIFICATION
No. 90/CSERC/2021.⸺ In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (zk) of Sub-section (2) of
Section 181 read with Section 91 (2) & (3) of the Electricity Act, 2003 (No. 36 of 2003) (the Act), and with the
approval of the Government of Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission
(CSERC) made regulations namely Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recruitment and
conditions of service of officers and employees) Regulations, 2005. Energy Deptt., Govt. of Chhattisgarh vide
letter No. F- 10-3/2004/13/1 dated 28.05.2010 has approved the revised set up of the officers / employees of the
Commission. Considering this revised set up, certain amendments have become necessary, the CSERC hereby
makes the following amendments to this Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recruitment
and conditions of service of officers and employees) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021, with approval of
the State Govt., namely: -

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES) (FIRST AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS, 2021
1.
Short Title, Definition and Commencement
(1)
These Regulations may be called the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission
(Recruitment and conditions of service of officers and employees) (First Amendment) Regulations,
2021.
(2)
They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
(3)
All other words and expressions used in this Regulation, but not defined, shall have the same meaning
as is in the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recruitment and conditions of
service of officers and employees) Regulations, 2005 (herein after referred to as the principal
Regulation).

Regulation 24 of the principal regulation is substituted by the following -
24.
Contract service.
If the exigencies of the Commission’s service so demands and after recording reasons therefore, any
vacant post in the Commission may be temporarily fill to contract appointment. The first contractual
appointment shall be made for a period of three years, however, the Commission may take decision of
renewal of the contractual appointment by extending the period of contractual appointment up to
maximum three years at a time depending on the necessity and after assessing suitability of persons
appointment on contractual basis. The terms and conditions for contract appointment shall be governed
by “Chhattisgarh Civil Seva (Samvida Niyukti) Niyam, 2012 as amended from time to time.

Amendment in annexure-I- Annexure I of the principal regulation, shall be substituted as in
Annexure I.
4.
Amendment in annexure-II- In annexure II of the principal regulation, shall be substituted as in
Annexure II.
5.
Amendment in annexure-III - In annexure III of the principal regulation shall be substituted as in
Annexure III.
6.
Amendment in annexure-IV- In annexure IV of the principal regulation shall be substituted as in
Annexure IV.
