NOTIFICATION

No. F 4-14/2017/29-2 .– In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities

Act, 1955 (10 of 1955) read in conjunction with notification No. S.O. 452 (E) dated 3rd february, 2022 and S.O.

1509(E) dated 30 March 2022, issued by Government of india, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public

Distribution, the State Government, hereby, makes the following amendment in the Chhattisgarh Essential

Commodities Dealers (Licensing and restriction on hoarding) order, 2009 namely :-

AMENDMENT

In the said order, -

For Schedule -II the following shall be substituted, namely :-

"SCHEDULE-II

[See clause 5 (a)]

Further, the following exceptions shall apply, -

(a)

an exporter, being a refiner, miller, extractor, wholesaler or retailer or dealer, having importer – Exporter

Code Number issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, if such exporter is able to demonstrate

that the whole or part of his stock in respect of edible oils and edible oilseeds are meant for exports, to the

extent of the stock meant for export.

(b)

an impotrer, being a refiner, miller, extractor, wholesaler or retailer or dealer, if such importer is able to

demonstrate that part of his stock in respect of edible oils and edible oilseeds are sourced from imports,’’

Note- 1.

The above limit shall be in force till 31st December 2022.

In case the stocks held by respective legal entities are higher then the prescribed limit then they

shall declare the same on the portal (https.//evegoils.nic.in) of Department of Food & Public

Distribution, Government of india and bring it to the prescribed stock limit within 30 day of

issuance of this notification.

It shall be ensured that Edible oil and Edible oilseed stock is regularly declared and update on the

portal of Department of Food & Public Distribution."
