In the case cf EP{C, cierical errors. speiling mistakes, etc. shouid be ignore<l provided the
i6entity of the eiector can be esrablished by the EPIC. If an eleetor produces afi EPIC which has
5een issued by the Eiectoral F.egistration OfTicer of another Assembly Constituency, such EPiC
shali also be acceptecl fbr identification provided the name of that eiector finds place in the
electoral roli pertaining to the polling staticn where the electcr has tumed up for voting. lf it is
nor possibie t* establish the identity of the elector on account of rnismatch of photograph. eic. the
elector shali have to produce one of the alternative photo documents mentioned in Para 7 above'

Notwithstanding anything in Paru ? above. overseas electors who are registered in the
electoral roll under Section 20A ol the Representation oi the People Act, 1950, based on the
particulars in their Indidn passport, shall be identified on the basis of their original passport only
(and no other identity document) in the polling station'
