NOTIFICATION

File No. 06-07/2022/10-2/van.⸺ In exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 read with Section

76 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (No.16 of 1927), the State Government, hereby, makes the following

amendment in the Chhattisgarh Transit (Forest Produce) Rules, 2001, namely:-

AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

For first para of rule 3, the following para shall be substituted, namely:-

"3.

Regulation of Transit of forest produce by means of passes.-

No forest produce shall be moved into or outside the state or within the State of Chhattisgarh

except in the manner as hereinafter provided without a transit pass in form A, B or C annexed

to these rules or electronic Transit Pass/No Objection Certificate issued through online

National Transit Pass System (https://ntps.nic.in). The Transit Pass/No objection Certificate

shall be issued by a Forest Officer, Gram Panchayat or a person duly authorized under these

rules or by online National Transit Pass System electronically."

After sub-rule (2) of rule 18, the following para shall be added, namely:-

"Electronic Transit Pass/No objection Certificate issued through online National Transit Pass

System (https://ntps.nic.in) shall also be valid in the whole of the State of Chhattisgarh and a

new transit pass at border checking barrier of the State of Chhattisgarh shall not be required

for forest produce being transported through it."
