NOTIFICATION

No. 08/04/Election Notification/2023/3738.⸺ In exercise of the powers conferred by section 166 of the

Representation of People Act, 1951, the State Government , hereby, delegates the powers vested in it under

section 160 to 165 of the Act to the, Chief/Additional/Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh, District

Election Officers of all the districts of Chhattisgarh and Returning and Assistant Returning Officers of all the

Parliamentary Constituencies and Returning Officers of all the Legislative Assembly Constituencies of the

State, subject to the condition that the State Government may revoke or modify such delegation of powers in

respect of all or any one of them or may itself invoke the provisions of sections 160 to 165 of the Act, if in the

opinion of the State Government such a course of action is necessary in public interest.

This notification shall come into force with effect from the date of its publication in the Official

gazette.
