NOTIFICATION

No. F 10-65/2020/CT(R)/V(31) .⸺In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of

sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (No. 2 of 1899), the State

Government, hereby, charges a stamp duty maximum of rupees 2000/- under Article 23 of

Schedule 1-A of the said Act, on the executed instruments, relating to conversion into

landlord rights for allotment of Government land, Settlement of encroached land and

concessional/non-concessional permanent leases, for the urban areas.

This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official

Gazette and shall be effective till the 31st March, 2024.

AMENDMENT

In the said notification,-

In sub-head "exemption and restriction" of Heading “Table of registration fees”, after

serial number (65), the following serial number (66) shall be added, namely:-

"(66) Charges a Registration fees maximum of rupees 2000/- on the instruments

presented for registration, relating to conversion into landlord rights for

allotment of government land, settlement of encroached land and

concessional/non-concessional permanent leases, in the urban areas."

This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official
