NOTICE OF ELECTION

No.-vidhan\R.S. Election\2024(1). - Notice is hereby given that-

(1)

An election is to be held of one member to the Council of States by the elected members of the

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly;

(2)

Nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or by any of his proposers, to the Returning Officer

or in his absence to the Assistant Returning Officer, at Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Bhavan, Raipur

between 11:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M. on any day (other then public holiday) not later then Thursday, the 15

February, 2024;

Forms of nomination paper may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid;

(4)

The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, the 16 February, 2024, at

Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Bhavan, Raipur;

(5)

Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or by any of his proposer or

by his election agent who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it to either of the

officers specified in paragraph (2) above at his office before 03:00 P.M. on Tuesday, the 20 February,

2024;

(6)

In the event of election being contested, the poll will be taken on Tuesday, the 27 February, 2024

between the hours of 09:00 in the morning to 04:00 in the afternoon.
