dzekad ESTB-1/1380/2025-LABOUR.— कारखाना अधिधनयम, 1948 (1948 का 63) की िारा 87 द्वारा प्रदत्तक

शधियों को प्रयोग में लाके हुए, राज्य सरकार, छत्तीसगढ़ कारखाना धनयम, 1962 में औरतसंशोिन का धनम्नधलधखक प्रारूप बनाना

प्रस्काधिक करकी है धिसे उि अधिधनयम कीतिारात115 कीतउप-िारात(1) के द्वारा अपेधिक ककए गए अनुसार, उन समस्क

व्यधियों, धिनके कक इससे प्रभाधिक होने की संभािना है, की िानकारी के धलए एकद्द्वारा प्रकाधशक ककया िाका है कथा एकद्द्वारा

सूधिक ककया िाका है कक उि प्रारूप पर इस सूिना के रािपत्र में प्रकाशन की कारीख से पैंकाधलसतकदिस के अिसान के पश्चाक्

धििार ककया िायेगा।

कोई आपधत्त या सुझाि, िो उि प्रारूप के संबंि में ककसी व्यधि से धिधनर्दिष्ट कालािधि के पूिि सधिि, श्रम धिभाग,

छत्तकीसगढ़ शासन, महानदी भिन, मंत्रालय, निा रायपुर अटल नगर, रायपुर के कायािलय में कायािलयीन समय में प्राप्त हो, पर

छत्तकीसगढ़तशासन द्वारा धििार ककया िायेगा।

संशोिन प्रारूप

उि धनयमों में,-

1.तधनयमत2 केतउप-धनयमत(1) में,-

(1)तखण्त2त(ण) के पश्चाक्, धनम्नधलधखक अंक:स्तथाधपकतककयातिाये, अथािक्:-

''(ण-1) ''स्तकनपानतकरानेतिालीतमाका'' सेतअधभप्रेकतहै, िन्तमतदेनेतकेतछ: महीनेतबादतककतकीतमधहला।''

(2) खण्त2त(2) केतपश्तिाक्, धनम्तनधलधखकतअंक:स्तथाधपकतककयातिाये, अथािक्:-

''(2-1) ''गभिकी मधहला'' सेतअधभप्रेक है, मधहला िो गभिकी हो।''

2. धनयम 107 में,-

(1) अनुसूिी दो के पैराग्राफ 3 के स्थान पर, धनम्नधलधखक प्रधकस्थाधपक ककया िाए, अथािक्:-

''3.

मधहलाओं और अल्पिय व्यधि से संबंधिक प्रधकषेि.- (1) गभिकी मधहलाओं/स्कनपान कराने िाली माकाओं/अल्पिय

व्यधि को ऐसे बाथ पर कायि करने के धलए धनयोधिक नहीं ककया िाएगा, िो िाकु की िस्कुओं पर इलेक्ट्रोलाइटटंग,

प्लेटटंग या ऑक्ट्सीकरण सेतसंबंधिकतहो, धिसमें क्रोधमयम, धनककल, कै2धमयम, िस्का, कांबा, िांदी, सोना आकद िाकुओं

के अम्ल, िार या लिण युि इलेक्ट्रोलाइट का उपयोग ककया िाका हो।

(2) गभिकी मधहलाओं/स्कनपान कराने िाली माकाओं/अल्पियतव्तयधियों को छोड़कर मधहलाओं और अन्य व्यधियों

को अनुसूिी में धिधनर्दिष्ट कायि में ऐसीतशकितपरतधनयोधिक ककया िा सकका है, ककतिबतइस अनुसूिी के कहक

पररिालन करने िाले प्रत्येक कारखाने के अधिभोगी को यांधत्रकी धनयंत्रण (बंद प्रणाली), िायु धनगरानी प्रणाली,

अभेद्य दस्काने और िेहरे की ढाल सधहक धिशेष पीपीई का उपयोग, धनयधमक धिककत्सा धनगरानी, रसायनों की

अनुमेय िोधखम सीमा (पीईएल) छत्तीसगढ़ कारखाना धनयम 124-बी के अनुसार सुधनधश्चकतकरे और उन्हे

धनयोधिक करके समय धनयधमक सुरिा प्रधशिण प्रदानतककयातिाये।’’

(2) अनुसूिी कीन के पैराग्राफ 3 के स्थान पर, धनम्नधलधखक प्रधकस्थाधपक ककया िाए, अथािक्:-

''3.

मधहलाओं और अल्पिय व्यधि से संबंधिक प्रधकषेि - (1) गभिकी मधहलाओं/स्कनपान कराने िाली माकाओं/अल्पिय

व्यधि को धिद्युक संिायकों के धिधनमािण और मरम्मक से संबंधिक प्रकक्रया िोतसीसातअथिातसीसेतकेतयौधगकतसेतयुक्ट्तकतहोत

में या ककसी ऐसे कमरे में कायि करने की अनुमधक नहीं दी िाएगी, धिसमें कच्चे ऑक्ट्साइ2 या सीसेतकेतप्रसंस्तकरणतअथिा

पेसस्टंगतकातकायि ककया िाका हो।

(2) गभिकी मधहलाओं/स्कनपान कराने िाली माकाओं/अल्पियतव्तयधियों को छोड़कर मधहलाओं और अन्य व्यधियों को

अनुसूिी में धिधनर्दिष्ट कायि में ऐसीतशकितपरतधनयोधिक ककया िा सकका है, ककतकारखाने का अधिभोगी प्रत्यि

िोधखम को कम करने के धलए स्ििाधलक प्रकक्रयाओं, धनयधमक रि सीसा स्कर की धनगरानी और उन्हें धनयोधिक

करके समय धनयधमक सुरिा प्रधशिण सुधनधश्चक करेगा।’’

(3) अनुसूिी िार के पैराग्राफ 4 के स्थान पर, धनम्नधलधखक प्रधकस्थाधपक ककया िाए, अथािक्:-

''4.

व्यधि को कांि धनमािण से संबंधिक ककसी भी कायि में धनयोधिक नहीं ककया िाएगा या उन्तहेंतकायितकरनेतकीतअनुमधक नहीं

दी िाएगी।

(2) गभिकी मधहलाओं/स्कनपान कराने िाली माकाओं/अल्पिय व्यधियों को छोड़कर मधहलाओं और अन्य व्यधियों को

अनुसूिी में धिधनर्दिष्ट कायि में ऐसीतशकितपरतधनयोधिक ककया िा सकका है, कक कारखाने का अधिभोगी उन्हें

धनयोधिक करके समय काप प्रिणका, शीकलन प्रणाली, सीधमक िोधखम अिधि, श्वसन सुरिा, काप कनाि धनगरानी,

यांधत्रकी धनयंत्रण, रोटेशन कायिक्रम और धनयधमक सुरिा प्रधशिण सुधनधश्चक करेगा।’’

(4) अनुसूिी छ: के पैराग्राफ 4 के स्थान पर, धनम्नधलधखक प्रधकस्थाधपक ककया िाए, अथािक्:-

''4.

व्यधि को पैराग्राफ 3 में धिधनर्दिष्ट ककसी भी कायि में धनयोधिक नहीं ककया िाएगा या उन्हें कायि करने की अनुमधक नहीं

दी िाएगी।

अनुसूिी में धिधनर्दिष्ट कायि में ऐसीतशकितपरतधनयोधिक ककया िा सकका है ककतकारखाने का अधिभोगी उन्हें धनयोधिक

करके समय स्ििाधलक हैं2सलंग प्रणाली, बंद प्रणाली, श्वसन सुरिा, माधसक रि सीसा धनगरानी और अन्य धिककत्सा

धनगरानी और धनयधमक सुरिा प्रधशिण सुधनधश्चक करेगा।’’

(5) अनुसूिी साक के पैराग्राफ 1 के स्थान पर, धनम्नधलधखक प्रधकस्थाधपक ककया िाए, अथािक्:-

''1.

मधहलाओंतऔरतअल्पियतव्यधितसेतसंबंधिकतप्रधकषेि.- (1) गभिकी मधहलाओं/स्कनपान कराने िाली माकाओं/अल्पिय

व्यधि को पेरोल से पेरोल गैस कात उत्पादन करने िाली ककसी भी इमारक में धनयोधिकतयातकायि करने केतधलयेतधनयोधिकत

या प्रिेश करने की अनुमधक नहीं दी िाएगी।

अनुसूिी में धिधनर्दिष्ट कायि में ऐसीतशकितपरतधनयोधिक ककया िा सकका है कक कारखाने का अधिभोगी उन्हें धनयोधिक

करके समय दूरस्थ धनगरानी प्रणाली, गैस का पका लगाने िाले उपकरण, आपाककालीन प्रधककक्रया प्रधशिण, स्ि-

धनधहक श्वास कंत्र और धनयधमक सुरिा प्रधशिण प्रदान करेगा।’’

(6) अनुसूिी दस के पैराग्राफ 4 के स्थान पर, धनम्नधलधखक प्रधकस्थाधपक ककया िाए, अथािक्:-

(2) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व् यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं को

अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी उन्िें

हनयोहजत करते समय सीसा प्रबंिन का स्वचालन, सीसा प्रकियाओं का घेराव, श्वसन सुरक्षा, हनयहमत रि परीक्षण

और हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण सुहनहित करेगा।’’

(7) अनुसूची बारि के पैराग्राफ 5 के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''5. (1) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहि को हमट्टी के बतभनं के हनमाभण से संबंहित ककसी

र्ी स्थान पर या ऐसे ककसी र्ी स्थान पर, जिााँ ऐसा कायभ ककया जाता िै, हनयोहजत निीं ककया जाएगा या उन्िें

कायभ करने की अनुमहत निीं दी जाएगी।

(2) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं को

अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै, कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी िूल उपशमन

के हलए गीली हवहियं का उपयोग, स्थानीय हनकास वेंट लेशन, श्वसन सुरक्षा, जिााँ संर्व िो सीसा रहित ग्लेज़

सुहनहित करेगा और उन्िें हनयोहजत करते समय हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण प्रदान करेगा।’’

(8) अनुसूची अठारि के पैराग्राफ 15 के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''15.

महिलाओं और अल्पवय व्यहि से संबंहित प्रहतषेि.- (1) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय

व्यहि को हवलायक हनस्तारण संयंत्र में हनयोहजत करने की अनुमहत निीं िोगी।

(2) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं को

अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै, कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी उन्िें

हनयोहजत करते समय बंद हनस्तारण प्रणाली, वाष्प पुनप्राभहि और हनगरानी प्रणाली, वायु हनगरानी प्रणाली, हवशेष

व्यहिगत सुरक्षा उपकरण (पीपीई) का उपयोग और हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण सुहनहित करेगा।’’

(9) अनुसूची बीस के पैराग्राफ 8 के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''8.

व्यहि को मैंगनीज और उसके यौहगकं के हवहनमाभण और संचालन से संबंहित ककसी र्ी मैंगनीज प्रकिया में हनयोहजत

निीं ककया जाएगा या उन्िें कायभ करने की अनुमहत निीं दी जाएगी।

(2) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं को

उक् त अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै, कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी उन्िें

हनयोहजत करते समय उच्च-जोहखम वाले कायों का स्वचालन, श्वसन सुरक्षा, स्वास््य हनगरानी, हवशेष व्यहिगत

सुरक्षा उपकरण (पीपीई) का उपयोग और हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण सुहनहित करेगा।’’

(10) अनुसूची इक् कीस के पैराग्राफ 6 के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''6.

महिलाओं और अल्पवय व्यहि के हनयोजन से संबंहित प्रहतषेि.- (1) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली

माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को बेंजीन या बेंजीन युि पदाथभ के हवहनमाभण से संबंहित ककसी र्ी कायभ कक्ष में हनयोहजत निीं

ककया जाएगा या उन्िें कायभ करने की अनुमहत निीं दी जाएगी और साथ िी ऐसे कायभ करने की र्ी अनुमहत निीं दी

जायेगी हजसमें बेंजीन या बेंजीन युि पदाथों के संपकभ में आना शाहमल िो।

(2)

गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं

को उक् त अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै, कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी

उन्िें हनयोहजत करते समय बंद प्रणाली, वाष्प पुनप्राभहि, हनरंतर हनगरानी, संपकभ समय की सीमा, जैहवक

हनगरानी, हवशेष व्यहिगत सुरक्षा उपकरण (पीपीई) का उपयोग और हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण सुहनहित

करेगा।’’

(11) अनुसूची बाईस के पैराग्राफ 3 के खण् ् (अ) के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''(अ)

गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को स्ले पेंहसल के हनमाभण के संबंि में

पत्थरं को का ने या पत्थरं पर खांचे बनाने के हलए प्रयुि मशीनं पर कायभ करने के हलए हनयोहजत निीं ककया

जाएगा या उन्िें कायभ करने की अनुमहत निीं दी जाएगी।''

(12) अनुसूची तेईस के पैराग्राफ 5 के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''5.

महिलाओं या अल्पवय व्यहि के हनयोजन से संबंहित प्रहतषेि.- (1) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली

माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को खतरनाक की नाशकं के संचालन, हवहनमाभण या र्ण् ्ारण से संबंहित ककसी र्ी कमरे में

हनयोहजत निीं ककया जाएगा या उन्िें कायभ करने की अनुमहत निीं दी जाएगी।

(2) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं को

उि अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै, कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी, स्वचाहलत

संचालन प्रणाली, बंद प्रकिया, ऑगेनोफॉस्फे के हलए हनयहमत हचककत्सा परीक्षण, हवशेष व्यहिगत सुरक्षा उपकरण

(पीपीई) का उपयोग और उन्िें हनयोहजत करते समय हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण सुहनहित करेगा।’’

(13) अनुसूची चौबीस के पैराग्राफ 8 के स्थान पर, हनम्नहलहखत प्रहतस्थाहपत ककया जाए, अथाभत्:-

''8.

महिलाओं और अल्पवय व्यहियं के हनयोजन से संबंहित प्रहतषेि.- (1) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली

माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को कैंसरकारी रंजक मध्यवती पदाथों के हवहनमाभण कायभ से संबंहित ककसी र्ी कमरे में

हनयोहजत निीं ककया जाएगा या उन्िें कायभ करने की अनुमहत निीं दी जाएगी, हजसमें उि प्रकियाएं की जाती िैं।

(2) गर्भवती महिलाओं/स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं/अल्पवय व्यहियं को छोड़कर महिलाओं और अन्य व्यहियं को

उि अनुसूची में हवहनर्दभष्ट कायभ में ऐसी शतभ पर हनयोहजत ककया जा सकता िै, कक कारखाने का अहिर्ोगी स्थानीय

वेंट लेशन, वाष्प हनगरानी, एक्सपोजर समय की सीमा, हवशेष व्यहिगत सुरक्षा उपकरण (पीपीई) के उपयोग और

उन्िें हनयोहजत करते समय हनयहमत सुरक्षा प्रहशक्षण के साथ बंद प्रणाली सुहनहित करेगा।’’

NOTICE

No. ESTB-1/1380/2025-LABOUR.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 87 of the

Factories Act, 1948 (No. 63 of 1948), the State Government proposes to make following further amendment in

the Chhattisgarh Factories Rules, 1962, which is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 115

of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the

said draft will be taken into consideration on the expiry of 45 days from the date of publication of this notice in

the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion regarding the said draft received from any person before the specified period,

during office hours in office of the Secretary, Department of Labour, Government of Chhattisgarh, Mahanadi

Bhawan, Mantralaya, Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Raipur shall be considered by the Government of Chhattisgarh.

DRAFT AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

1. In sub-rule (1) of rule 2,-

(1) After clause (k), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(k-1) "Lactating mother" means a woman up to six months after giving birth."

(2) After clause (m), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"(m-1) "Pregnant woman" means a woman who is pregnant."

2. In rule 107,-

(1) For Paragraph 3 of Schedule II, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"3. Prohibition relating to women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be employed for working in baths involving Electrolyting, plating or oxidation of metal articles using

electrolyte containing acids, bases or salts of metals such as chromium, nickel, cadmium, zinc, copper, silver,

gold, etc.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of every factory carrying out operations under this

schedule shall ensure that engineering controls (enclosed system), air monitoring system, use of specialized

PPEs including impermeable gloves and face shields, regular medical monitoring. Permissible Exposure Limit

(PEL) of chemicals are as per the Chhattisgarh Factories Rule 124-B and regular safety trainings shall be

provided while employing them."

(2) For Paragraph 3 of Schedule III, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"3. Prohibition relating to women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be permitted to work in process containing lead or any compound of lead relating to manufacture and

repair of electrical accumulators or in any room in which manipulation of raw oxide or lead or pasting is carried

on.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures automated processes to

minimize direct exposure, regular blood lead level monitoring and regular safety training while employing

them."

(3) For Paragraph 4 of Schedule IV, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"4. Prohibition relating to woman and young persons.- (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be employed or permitted to work in any operations relating to glass manufacturing.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures heat gradient, cooling

system, limited exposure period, respiratory protection, heat stress monitoring, engineering controls, rotation

programme and regular safety training while employing them."

(4) For Paragraph 4 of Schedule VI, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"4. Prohibition relating to women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be employed or permitted to work in any operations specified in paragraph 3.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures automated handling system,

enclosed.

safety training while employing them."

(5) For Paragraph 1 of Schedule VII, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"1. Prohibition relating to women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be employed or permitted to work or to enter any building where the production of petrol gas from

petrol is carried on.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory provides remote monitoring system,

gas detection equipment, emergency response training, self-contained breathing apparatus and regular safety

training while employing them."

(6) For Paragraph 4 of Schedule X, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"4. Prohibition relating to women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be employed or permitted to work in any lead process or related to lead processes in printing presses

and type foundries.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures automation of lead

management, enclosure of lead processes, respiratory protection, regular blood tests and regular safety training

while employing them."

(7) For Paragraph 5 of Schedule XII, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"5. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons shall not be employed or permitted to work in any

place connected with the manufacture of pottery or in any place where such work is carried on.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in the

work specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures the use of wet methods

for dust abatement, local exhaust ventilation, respiratory protection, lead free glaze where possible and regular

safety training while employing them."

(8) For Paragraph 15 of Schedule XVIII, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"15. Prohibition relating to women and young persons.

(1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons shall not be permitted to be employed in solvent

extraction plant.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures the use of enclosed

extraction system, vapor recovery and monitoring system, air monitoring system, use of special personal

protective equipment (PPE) and regular safety training while employing them."

(9) For Paragraph 8 of Schedule XX, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"8. Prohibition relating to women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons

shall not be employed or permitted to work in any manganese process involving manufacture and operation of

manganese and its compounds.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures automation of high-hazard

tasks, respiratory protection, health monitoring, use of special personal protective equipment (PPE) and regular

safety training while employing them."

(10) For Paragraph 6 of Schedule XXI, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"6. Prohibition relating to employment of women and young persons.- (1) Pregnant women/lactating

mothers/young persons shall not be employed and permitted to work in any work room connected with the

manufacture of benzene or substance containing benzene and also shall not be permitted to work which involves

exposure to benzene or benzene-containing substances.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures closed system, vapor

recovery, continuous monitoring, limitation of exposure time, biological monitoring, use of special personal

protective equipment (PPE) and regular safety training while employing them."

(11) For clause (a) of Paragraph 3of Schedule XXII, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"(a) Pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons shall not be employed or permitted to work on machines

used for cutting stones or grooves on stones in connection with the manufacture of slate pencils."

(12) For Paragraph 5 of Schedule XXIII, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"5. Prohibition relating to employment of women or young persons.- (1) Pregnant women/lactating

mothers/young persons shall not be employed or permitted to work in any room connected with the handling,

manufacture or storage of dangerous pesticides,

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons may be employed in work

specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures automated handling systems,

enclosed processes, regular medical tests for organophosphates, use of special personal protective equipment

(PPE) and regular safety training while employing them."

(13) For Paragraph 8 of Schedule XXIV, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"8. Prohibition relating to employment of women and young persons. (1) Pregnant women/lactating

mothers/young persons shall not be employed or permitted to work in any room connected with the

manufacturing operation of carcinogenic dye intermediates in which the said processes are carried out.

(2) Women and persons other than pregnant women/lactating mothers/young persons, may be employed in the

work specified in the Schedule on such condition that the occupier of the factory ensures closed system with

local ventilation, vapor monitoring, limitation of exposure time, use of special personal protective equipment

(PPE) and regular safety training while employing them."
