coconuts and cashewnuts,

dried salted or preserved, no.s. and excluding

Dates (S No. 21(a.)/IV),

(ii) Asafoetida

(S. No. 31/V) (iii) Cumin seeds and (iv) Medicinal

herbs

from

Afghanistan.

No. 54 ITC(PN)/63,—Attention of the importers is invited to the Ministry of

Commerce and Industry Public Notice No. 47-ITC(PN)/63 dated the 18th May 1963

whereby importers of dry fruits etc. from Afghanistan were advised not to enter

into any further contracts until further notice. It has been decided

to

suspend

forthwith the Issue of all Customs Clearance

Permits for

dry fruits etc, from

Afghanistan.
