NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 6th October 1963

S.O. 2859.—In pursuance of clause (a) of article 84 of the Constitution, the

Election Commission hereby authorizes as the person before whom a candidate

for election to Parliament shall make and subscribe the oath or affirmation

according to the form set out for the purpose in the Third Schedule to the

Constitution—

(a) where the candidate is for election by a parliamentary constituency,

the returning officer for that constituency; and

(b) where the candidate is for election to fill a seat or seats in the Council

of States, the returning officer for that election.
