NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 15th February 1966

G.S.R. 264.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Defence

of India Act, 1962 (51 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the follow-

ing rules further to amend the Defence of India Rules, 1962, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Defence

of India (Amendment) Rules, 1966.

(2) They shall come into force on the 22nd day of February, 1966.

2. Amendment of rules 125 and 181 of the

Defence of India Rules.—In the

Defence of India Rules, 1962,—

(a) in rule 125, in sub-rule (3B),

(i) for the words, brackets and figures "the Defence

of India (Eighth

Amendment) Rules, 1965," the words, brackets and figures "the

Defence of India (Amendment) Rules, 1966," shall be substituted;

(ii) in the schedule, after item 7, the following items shall be added,

namely: —

"8. Cotton seed.

9. Meals, concentrates and compound feeds normally used as feed for

livestock or poultry or both.

10. Fodders, including bhoosa, husks, kttrbi, chuni, brans and pollards,

chari, grass, hay, guarseed and guarmeal.¹'.

(b) In rule 1»1, in sub-rule (OA),

(i) for ijbe wordfl, brackets and flgurw, "the Defence 0* India (Eighth

Amendment) Rules, 1965," the words, brackets and figures, the

Defence of India (Amendment) Rules, IMG," shall be substituted;

(ii) in the schedule, after item 9, the following items shall be added, name-

ly:—

"10. Cotton s«ed.

11. Meals, concentrates and compound feeds normally used as feed, for

livestock or poultry or both.

12. Fodders, including bhoosa, husks, karbi, chuni, brans and pollars,

chart, grass, hay, guaraeed and guarmeal".
