In exercise of the powers conferred by

clause IS of the Sugar (Control) Order, 1966, the Central

Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it

by clause 7 of the Sugar (Control) Order, 1966 shall also

be

excisable

by a State Government or an officer duly

authorised by i t in this behalf, for the purpose of

fixation

of the price of sugar, except at the ex-factory stage, sub-

ject to the condition -

(i) that such price shall not exceed the (trie* or the
