New Delhi, the 16th September 1966

G.S.R. 1434.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section

25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied

that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts bona fide

samples of unmanufactured tobacco [falling under

Item No. 24 of the Second

Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act, 1934 (32 of 1934)], when exported out of India

if each parcel of such sample weighs not more than ten kilogrammes and does

not exceed Rs. 50 in value from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon

under the said Second Schedule.
