S.O. 3549.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4 of the Coir

Industry Act, 1963 (45 of 1953) read with sub-rule (1) of Rule 5 of the Coir

Industry Rules, 1954 as amended by the Coir Industry (Amendment) Rules, 1963,

the Central Government hereby notifies that Dr. K. Mathew Kurian, Member,

Rajya Sabha has been duly elected by the Rajya Sabha on May 13, 1970 to be

a member of the Coir Board vice Shri Sherkhan who ceased to be

a

member

of the Rajya Sabha from April 2, 1970.
