Introduction o,f banking system-
No. 18-lTC(PN)/73.--Attention is invited to the Ministry of Foreign Trade
Public Notice No. 164-ITC(PN)/72, dated the 18th November, 1972, regarding
import of Asafoetida (Hing) from Afghanistan, through banking channels.
2. It has been provided in paragraph 9 of the aforesaid Public Notice that the
other terms and conditions as contained in the Ministry
of
Foreign Trade
Public Notice No. 93-ITC(PN)/72, dated the
30th
June,
1972, will
apply
the case of import of Asafoetida from Afghanistan.
In partial modification of
this provision, it has been decided that the value of imported Asafoetida for
The purpose of debit to the CCPs and for remittance to the supplier, through
the bank, as also for the purpose of determining counter-balancing exports in
respect of such imports, will be the value as declared in the supplier's invoice
and appealing in the Bill of Exchange.
3. The Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notice No. 164-ITC(PN/72,
dated
the 18th November. 1972, may be deemed to have been amended accordingly.
