trade with Bangladesh outside the Limited Payments Arrangement as amended

by Public Notices No. 190-ITC(PN)/72J dated the 22nd December, 1972 and No.

3-ITC(PN)/73, dated the 1st January, 1973.

2. In accordance with the aforesaid Public Notices, exports of textiles (includ-

ing handloom and art silk fabrics, cellulosic and non-cellulosic) to Bangladesh

outside the Limited Payments Arrangement will be allowed only through the

Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, Handloom Export Promotion Cpuncil,

and Silk and Art Silk Export Promotion Council.

3. On a review of the position, it has been decided that the exports of all

textiles (mill-made handloom and powerloom¹) to Bangladesh outside the Limited

Payments Arrangement will be allowed to all eligible exporters subject to the

normal policies and procedures. The exporters shall be required to register their

export contracts with the respective Export

Promotion

Council for claiming

export benefits as may be admissible under the normal policy. The exports shall

also be subject to pre-shipment inspection by the Textile Committee.

4. The late Ministry of Foreign Trade Public Notices No. 180-ITC(PN)/72,

dated the 8th December, 1972, No. 19(MTC(PN)/72, dated the 22nd December,

1972 and No. 3-ITC(PN/73, dated the 1st January. 1973, may be "deemed to have

been' amended accordingly.
