CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 1st March 1973
G.S.R. 163(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8
of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby mikes
the
following amendments of the notification of the Government of India in
the
Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 203/72-Central
Excises, dated the 28th September, 1972, namely: —
In the said notification, in the Table, for Serial No. 2 and the entries relating
thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: ~
"2. Sugar produced in a factory during the period
Rs. twenty
commencing from the 1st day of December,
per quintal.
1972 and ending with the 28th day of
February,
1973 which
is
In
excess
of
115 per cent of the quantity of sugar produced
during the period commencing from the 1st
day of December, 1971 and ending with the
29th day of February, 1972.
2A. sugar produced in a factory during the period
Rs. twenty
commencing from the 1st day 0* March, 1973
per quintal."
and ending with the 90th day of April, 1973
which is In excess of the quantity of sugar
produced during the corresponding period in
1972.
