S.O. 821(E)—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section

3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government,

being requested so to do by Punjab National Bank establishes, with effect from the

23rd Decemher, 1976 a Regional Rural Bank in the

State of Himachal Pradesh

under the name of Himachal Gramin Bank, which shall operate within the local

limits of the district of Mandi in the State of Himachal Pradesh.

S.O. 8£2(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section

4 of the Regional Rural Bank Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after

consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and Punjab National Bank, by which

Hlmacha] Gramin Bank has been sponsored, specifies Mandi as the place where

Himachal GramJn Bank shall have its head office.

section 42 of the Reserve Bunk of India Act, 1034 (2 of 1934), the Central Govern-

ment hereby notifies, for the purposes of the said sub-clause, Himachal Gramin

Bank, being an institution established under sub-section (1) of section 3 of

the

Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1970),
