President acting as President on the 30th June, 1977, and is hereby

published for general information —

THE PAYMENT OF WAGES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1977

NO. 19 OF 1977

[30th June, 1977]

An Act further to amend the Payment of Wages Act, 1936.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic

of India as follows:—

1. This Act may be called the Payment of Wages (Amendment) Act,

1977.

section 7.

|2p In section 7 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, in sub-section (2),

after clause (p), the following clause shall be inserted, namely: —

"(q) deductions for contributions to any insurance scheme

framed by the Central Government for the benefit of its employees.".
