New Delhi, the 31st December, 1977

No. F. 31/4/76/AN-I/G.N.-742/77.—fn exercise of the powers conferred by

Rule 19 of the l,ok Sabhii Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service)

Rules, 1955, the Speaker hercbj makes the following ailcs further to amend the

Lok Sabha Secretarial (Conduct) Spies, 1955, namely:-—

1. (1) These Rules m;v be called Iht I.ck Sabha Secretariat (Conduct) Amend-

ment Rules, 1977.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official

Gazette.

2. For Rule 24-JB of the Lok Sabha Sccrelariiit (Conduct) Rules, 1955 (herein-

after referred to as the said Rules), substitute the following :

"24-B. No officer shall join or continue to be a member of, an association

the objects or activities of which are prejudicial to the interests of the

sovereignty and integrity of. India or public order or morality."

3. In the said Rules, Rule 30-A shall' bo omitted.

4. Tn the said Rules, jar the word "Secretary-General".

wherever it occurs, the word -"Secretary" shall be substituted.
