4(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52

of 1962), the Central Government, being

satisfied

that

it

is necessary in the public interest so to do hereby makes the

following further amendments in the notification of the

Government of India in the Department of Revenue and

Banking No

182-Customs, dated the 2nd August,

1976,

namely:—

In the said notification, after item III, the following

items shall be inserted, namely :—

"IV. Any other drug, medicine or equipment

which

is certified by the Director General or Deputy

Director General or Assistant Director General of

Health Services, New Delhi, in each individual

case to be life saving drug, medicine or equipment

and In respect of which a certificate to this effect,

in the form annexed hereto, is produced to

the

Assistant Collector of Customs at the time of im-

potiation.

FORM

Certified that the drug/medicine /equipment

(name of the drug, medicine or equipment) being/

proposed to bo imported by Sh/Smt

is life saving drug/medicinc/equipment and oxemp-

tion from payment of customs duty is recommended.
