CUSTOMS
G.S.R. 18(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52
of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 3 of the Finance
Act, 1977 (11 of 1977), the Central Government,
being
satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do,
hereby exempts rough diamonds, frilling under sub-heading
No. (2) of Heading No. 71.02 of the First Schedule to the
Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into
India, from the whole of the auxiliary duty of Customs levi-
able thereon under subsection (1) of section 3 of the said
Finance Act.

G.S.R. 19(E).—In exercise of the powers
conferred by
sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52
of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts
rough semi-precious stones, falling under sub-heading No. (4)
of Heading No. 71.02 of the First Schedule to the Customs
Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India, from
the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is
specified in the said First Schedule.
