SUBJECT:—Import of safflower (Kardi) seed and oil : Import Policy for April, 1977—
March, 1978.
F. No. IPC/3/3/76.—Attention is invited to the provisions contained against
S. No. 15.07 in Section II, read with column 3 against S. Nos. 9—20 of Appendix 2
of the Import Trade Control Policy Book (Volume ]) for the period 1977-78, as
amended, regarding import of certain specified edible oils/oil seeds.
2. On a review of the position, it has been decided to allow import of safflower«
oil and safflower (Kardi) seed for refining, blending and for direct human consumption
The basis for issue of licences will be the same as applicable in respect of other per-
missible edible oils indicated in the Ministry of Commerce, Public Notice No.
28-ITC(PN)/77, dated the 27th May, 1977, as amended from time to timo. Applica-
tions in the prescribed form and manner may be made to the licensing authorities
concerned on or before the 31st March, 1978.
3. The following amendments may accordingly be made la the import policy
book (Volume 1) for the period April, 1977—March, 1778:—
