SUBJECT :—Impart of cartoffrflpbic Items by the publishers

of Maps, Ciwrte and Atlases during 1977-78.

F. No. 1PC/63/8/76.—In order to ensure better quality in

the maps, charts and

aliases printed in the country, it has

been decided to allow the import of cartographic items by such

publishers,

2. Licences will be granted to each publisher for a valiio

upto Rsr 9,000/-- for import of the cartographic items men-

tioned in the annexure to this Public Notice.

3. Publishers of maps, charts and atlases should send on

or before the 15th Match, 1978, their applications in the pres-

cribed form and manner, through cither the All India Fcgera-

tion of Master

Market, Part II, New Delhi or the All India Maps, Charts

Publishers Association, 12B Prahlad Market,

Delhi. This

Federation/Association should forward the applications, with

its recommendations to the Director, Maps Publication Survey

of India, Dehradun, who, in turn, will forward them to the

Chief Controller of

Imports and Exports

(A. L. Section),

New Delhi, with

his recommendation by the

31st March,

1978,
