NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 24th August

S.O. 516 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 67 of the

Wakf Act,

1954 (29 of 1954), read with the notification of the Government

of India in the Ministry of Law, Justice & Company Affairs (Legislative Depart-

ment) No. 4/3/73-Wakf, dated the 30th December, 1975, issued under sub-section

(1) of section 72 of the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 (31 of 1966),

the

Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend

the

Punjab Wakf Rules, 1964, namely :—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Wakf (Amendment) Rules,

1978.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the

Official Gazette.

2. In rule 8 of the Punjab Wakf Rules, 1964, clause (iii) of sub-rule (2)

shall be omitted.
