GS.R. 501(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-secfion fl) of

•icttioa 3 pf Ihe All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) read with sub-rule

(1) of ruli 8 6f'the Indian AdminiitKiiivc Service (Recruitment) Rules,

1954,

Ihe Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Himachal

Pradesh and Ihe Union Public Service CommisMOn, hereby makes Ihe following

regulations further to amend the Indun Administrative §erylce (AppojritrJKin¹

by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, namely :—

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service

(Appointment by Pjomotion) Smth Amendment Regulations, 1978.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the

Official Gazette.

2. In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Seivice (Appointment by

Promotion) Regulations, 1955, for the entries relating to the State of Himachal

Pradesh, the following entnes ihall be substituted, namely :—

(1) Chief Secretary to the Government.

(2) Three nominee;, of the Slate Government not below the rank

-of

Member, Board of Revenue/Commissioncr/Sccrctary to the Gov-

ernment.

(3) A nominee of the Government of India not below the rank

of

Jomt Secretary.
