NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 30th October, 1978

G.S.R. 522(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-rule (4) of rule 1 of

the Standards of Weights and Measures (Paekaged Commodities) Rules 1977,

and in partial modification of the notification of the Government of India

in

the late Ministry of Civil Supplies and Cooperation No. G.S.R. 62ICE), dated

the 26th September, 1977, and in supersession of the notification of the Govern-

ment of India in the Ministry of Commerce, Civil Supplies and Cooperation

(Department of Civil Supplies & Cooperation) No. G.S.R. 431(E), dated the

24th August, 1978, the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of

February, 1979 as the date on which the following provisions of the said rules

shall come into force, namely :—

(i) rule 5 ;

(ii) clauses (e) and (g) of sub-rule (1) of rule 6 ;

(iii) rule 7;

(iv) sub-rules (3), (4), (5) and (6) of rule 12 ;

(v) rules 13, 14, 18, 20 21, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 ; and

(vi) so much of the provisions of rule 34 as relate to any component,

part or material used in any workshop, service station or any other

place where servicing or repairing of any bicycle or tricycle

is

undertaken.
