CENTRAL EXCISES

G.S.R. 560(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule

8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts

prints of cinematograph films falling under Item No. 37 Il(ii) of the First

SchedLle to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and purchased

by tile Government of India in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

for exhibition in the VII International Film Festival of India or International

Film Festivals organised outside India :

Provided that every such film jhall remain the property of (he Government

of India.
