NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, (he 21st December, 1978

G.S.R. 586(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 58A, rend with

.nection 642 of the Companies Act, 1956 (\ of 1956), the Central Government,

in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, hereby makes the following

rules further lo amend the Companies (Acceptance of. Deposits) Rules, 1975,

namely :—

1. (I) These rules may be called the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits)

Fifth Amendment Rules, 1978.

(2) These rules shall come into fo:cc from the date of their publication in

the Oftici.il Gazette.

2. In sub-clause (iii) of clause (h) of rule 2 of the Companies (Acceptance

of Deposits) Rules, 1975' for the words "or from any other financial company

or public financial institution which may be notified¹ by the Central Government

in this behalf in consultation with t!>e Reserve Bank of India", the words

"or

from the Oil Industry Developmcn Board or from any other financial Company

or public financial institution which m;iy' be notified by the Central Government

in this behalf in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India" shall be substitu-

ted.
