NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th December, 197S

G.S.R. 597(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of

the

Central Excises and Salt Act. 1944 (1 of 1944) the Central Government hereby

makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules,

1944,

namely :—

1. (1) These Rules may be called the Central Excise

(16th

Amendment)

Rules, 1978.

(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1979.

2. In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 2, in clause (ii)(A) —

(o) in sub-clause (i) after the words "Union Territory of Delhi",

the

words "and in the State of Haryana" shall be inserted;

(b) JD sub-clause (t), the word "Haryana" shall bo omitted.
