NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 2nd January, 1981

CUSTOMS

GJSJt. 6{E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of

section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government,

being satisfied that

it

is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby

makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Govern-

ment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 152-

Customs, dated the 15th July, 1977, namely :—

In the said ratification, for the first proviso, the following proviso shall

be substituted, namely :—

"Provided that if the goods specified in column (2) against S. No. I

of the said Table are imported for the manufacture of all or any

of the articles specified in the corresponding entry In column (3)

thereof, the importer or the manufacturer, as the case may bo,

carries out the manufacturing operations In bond, as provided In

Chapter IX of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and subject

to such, other conditions as may bo specified by the Assistant Collector

of Customs in this behalf."
