New Delhi, the 5lh January, 1981

G.S.R. 7(E)/Ess. Com,/Sugarcane.—In exercise of the powers conferred by

clause 3 of the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966 and having regard to various

factors njentioned in sub-clause (1) theieof, the Central Government, after con-

sultation with such authorities, bodies and associations as are considered neces-

sary by it to be consulted, hereby, on the basis of the basic minimum price of

sugar at Rs. 13,00 per quintal linked to a recovery of 8.5 per cent or below

with a premium of 15.2941 paise per quintal foj every 0.1 per cent increase

in recovery above 8.5 per cent, fixes, with immediate effect, the prices specified

in coJumn (3) of the Schedule hereto annexed as (he minimum price and shall

be payable by the owners of vacuum pan process sugar factoiies specified in the

corresponding entiies in column (2) of the said Schedule, or their agents for

sugarcane delivered at the gate of the factory or at any purchasing centre for

the sugar year 1980-81 until the 30th September, 1981, subject to the rebates

payable therefor under clause 3A of the said Order.
