NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 15tli Decembei, 1980

S.O, 1J(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the National

Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes

the following rules to amend the National Highways (Fee for use of Perma-

nent Bridges) Rules, 1978. namely :—

1. (1) The6e rules may be called the Nationul Highway* (Fee;, for use

of Permanent Bridges) Amendment Rules, 1980.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their

pubication in the

Official Gazette.

2. In the National Highways (Fees for use of Permanent Bridges) Rules,

1978, in sub-rule (1) of rule 5, after the woid "departmentally", the words "or

through private contractors on the basis of competitive bidding," shall

be

inserted
