S. O. 22 (E):— Wherc.is by, the notlficatin of the Government of India in the Ministry of Energy (Department of Coal) No. S.O.

36 (E) dated the 24th January, 1978 under sub-section (I) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas. (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957

(20 of 1957), the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire the rights lo mine, quarry, bore, dig and search for, win, work

and carry away minerals in the lands measuring 5248.00 acres (approximately) or 2123.76 hectares (approximately) in the locality specified

in the Schedule appended to that notification:

Atvi whe ea> the Competent Authority in pursuance of Section R of the said Act has made his report to the Central Government;

And whereas the Central Government aflcr considering the said report and after consulting the Government of Orissa, is satis-

fied that the rights to mine, quarry, bore, dig and search for, win, work and carry away minerals in the lands mesauring 5248,00 acres (ap-

roximately) or 2123.76 hectares approximately) described in the Schedule appended hereto;

should be acquired.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government

hereby declares that the rights lo mine, quarry, bore, dig and search for, win, work and carry away minerals in the lands measuring 5248.00

acres (approximately) or 2123.76 hectares (approximately) described in the Schedule appended hereto:

are hereby acquired.

The plan of the area covered by this notification may be inspected in the Office of the Collector, Sambalpur (Orissa) or in the Office

of the Coal Controller, I, Council House Street, Calcutta or in the Office of the Western Coalfields Limited (Revenue Section), Bisesar

House, Temple Road, Nagpur (Maharashtra).
