Public Notice No. 8-ETC(PN)/81

Subject : Fxport of Chloroquinc Phosphate Formulations manufactured out

of indigenous bulk drug "ChlOroquine Phosphate "against reple-

nishment by import of bulk drug after export—Furnishing of

Legal undertaking in lieu of Bank Guarantee.

F. No. 32/10/80-E. 11.—Attention is invited to the Public Notice No. 54-

ETC(PN)/80 dated the 1st September, 1980, on the above subject.

2. According to the provisions contained in paragraph 2 of the aforesaid

Public Notice, the exporters are required to furnish a bond/undertaking to

import Chloroquine Phosphate for a c.i.f. value equal to 30% of the f.o.b.

value of the formulations to be exported and the bond is required to be sup-

ported by a bank guarantee for an amount equal to 15% of the f.o.b. value of

the products to be exported.

3. On a review of the position, it has been decided that instead of furnish-

ing a Bank Guarantee in support of the bond equal to 15% of the f.o.b. value

of the product to be exported, the exporters may furnish a legal undertaking

to import the requisite quantity of chloroquine phosphate withinthe stipulated

pericd of six months from the date of export of the formulations.

4. All other conditions contained in Public Notice No. 54-ETC(PN)/80

dated 1-9-1980 shall remain unchanged.
