NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 15th January, 1981

S.O. 27(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Govern,

merit of India in the Ministry of Energy (Department of Coal)

No. S.O. 133 (E) dated the 3rd March, 1980 under sub-section

(I) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and

Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), the Central Government

gave notice of its intention to acquire the lands in the locality

specified in the Schedule appended to that notification;

And whereas the competent authority in pursuaacc of

section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the Central

Government;

And whereas the Central Government, afler considering the

report aforesaid, and, after consulting the Government of Bihar,

is satisfied that the lands measuring 701.87 acres (approximately)

or 284.04 hectares (approximately) described in the Schedule

appended hereto should be acquired;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-

section (1) of Section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government

hereby declares that the lands measuring 701.87 acres (approxi-

mately) or 284,04 hectares (approximately) described in the said

Schedule are hereby a Quired.

2. The Plan of the area covered by this notification may be

inspected in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dumka

(Bihar) or in the Office of the Coal Controller, 1, Council House

Street, Calcutta or in the Office of the Director (Corporate

Planning and Projects), Eastern Coalfields Limited, Sanctoria,

Post Office—Dishergarh, District—Burdwan (West Bengal).
