Section! 5 read with Sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the University (.mints

Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956) and rule 5 (m) of the Umveisity Grants

Commission (Disqualification, retiicment and conditions of seivice of Members)

rules 1956, the Cential Government heieby appoints Di. (Smt) Madhun R Shah,

Vice-Chancellor, SNDT Women's University, Bombay as Chaitman, Univeisity

Grants Commission with immediate effect vice Pi of, Satish Chandra, for a term

of five yeais or till the completion of 65 yeais of age, whichever is earlier.
