CUSTOMS

G.S.R. 74(E).—In cwicisc of the poweis conferred by sLib-Kcction (Ij of

section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Goveiriment,

being satisfied that It is necessary in the public interest so to do, heieby makes

the following amendment in the notification of the Govei nment of India, in

the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 161-Customs, dated the

20th July, 1979, namely :—

In the said notification —

(i) hi the opening paragraph, foi the words "uml brought by them into

India" the words "when Imported into Indi.i" shnll be substituted ;

(ii) for the proviso, the following pioviso shall be substituted, namely :—

Provided that the Collector of Customs is satisfied that such medals and

trophies do not constitute an article of general utility."
