NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 26th February, 1981

CUSTOMS

G. S. R. 80(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (17 of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is neces-

sary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts Ethylene

Dichloride, falling within Chapter 29 of the First Schedule

to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported

into India for the manufacture of Polyvinyl Chloride Resins,

from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which

is specified in the said First Schedule and the whole of the

additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the said

second mentioned Act.

2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive

of the 28th February, 1982.

section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 ot

1962), rend with sub-section (4) of .section 4 of the Finance

Act, 1980 (13 ot 1980) the Central Government, being satisfied

that it is necessary in the public inteicst so to do, hcieby

nukes the followiiiK further amendment in the notifiedtion ol

the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, (Depart-

ment of Revenue) No. 41-Customs, dated 25th March, 1980,

namely:—

In the Schedule annexed to (he said notification, after
