CENTRAL EXCISES

G.S.R. 87(E).—In exueise of the powers confened by sub-section (2) of

section 3 cf the Central E-wioes and Salt Act, 1944 (i of 1944) and in supei-

scssion of the notification of tiie Government of India in the Ministry of Finance

(Department of Revenue) No. 184-A/8O-Ccntral Excises, dated the 29th Novem-

ber, 1980, the Central Government hereov fixes a tariff value of five hunilwd

and ninety rupees (Rs. 590) per quintal of sugar falling under sub-item (I) of Item

No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty id v.iloicm :

Provided thiii nothing contained in this notification shall appl> to s'ly u

required bv the Central Government to be sold under clause (f) ol sub-seUion

2. The notification shall come into force on the 1st day of March. 1981.
