ORDER

New Delhi, the 28th February, 1981

S.O. 135(E),—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 9 of the Industries (Development and

Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1931), the Central Government

hereby specifies the classes of goods manufactured or produced

wholly or in part of jute in the scheduled industry of textiles as

mentioned in column (2) of the Table below on which a duty of

excise shall be levied and collected as a cess for the purposes of

the said Act for a period of one year commencing on the 1st

March, 1981 at such rates as are specified in the corresponding

entry in column (3) of the said Table.
