NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th March, 1981

G.S.R. 211(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 6

of the Oilfields (Regulations and Development) Act 1948 (53 of 1948),

the

Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the

Petroleum and Natural Gas Rules, 1959, namely,

1. (J) These rules may be called the Pstroleum and Natural Gas (Amend-

ment) Rules, 1981.

(2) They shall come into force on the lat day cf April, 1981..

2. In tbe Petroleum and Natural Gas Rules, 1959, in rule 14, in suiwule (1),

for the words "forty-two rupees", the

words "sixty-one

rupees"

shall be

substituted.
