•CENTRAL EXCISES

CT.-^.R. 2l5(l$).-^:—In exercise of the powers conferred

by

rule 174-A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Ccn ral

liovcinmcnt, being satisfied that it is necessary aifll expedient

in the public interest sA to do, hereby ^(ftnpts frfttt ihc

operation of rule 174 or the said Rules, T:he goods falling

under Hera No. 68 of the Fiist .Schedule to the Central

Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of ¹944) and exempted from

tli? whole of the duty of excise leviab'e thereon on the basis

of value of clearances made in a financial year so long as

they remain exempt from the whole of the. duty of excise

lcviahle thereon in terms of the notification issued under

i ule 8 of the said Rules oi on account of the fact that thev

are bcinu cxpoitcd out of India :

^provided that the exemption contained in this notification

shall flpply subject to the following conditions namely :—

<i) the aggregate value of ihe said goods cleared by or

on behalf of a maniit.ictmer from one or more

faLtorie*. for export or hoive consumption or both,

•ds the rM&se may be, does not exceed rupees five

lakhp i& a financial year, utjtft

(ii) the said poods me manufactured in a factory other

than a factory defined in clause (m) of section 2

uf Ihe I acton:s Act. 1948 (63 of 1948).

2. This notification shall come into for;e ;n the 1st day

of April. 1981.
