New Delhi, the 26th March, 1981

S.O. 224(E).—In exercise of the powers

conferred

by

sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks

Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central

Government, being

requested so to do by Central Bank of India establishes,

with effect from the 27th March, 1981, a Regional Rural

Bank in the State of Bihar under the name of Gopalganj

Kshetriya Gramin Bank which shall operate within the local

limits of the district of Gopalganj in the State of Bihar.

S.O. 225(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by

sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks

Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after con-

sultation with the Reserve Bank of India and Central Bank

of India, by which Gopalganj Kshetriya Gramin Bank has

been sponsored, specifies Gopalganj as the place where Gopal-

ganj Kshetriya Gramin Bank shall have its head office.
