NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 28th March, 1981

S.O. 245(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976

(21 of 1976), the Central Government, being requested so to

do by Union Bank of India, establishes, with effect from the

30th March, 1981 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of

Uttar Pradesh under the name of Gomti Gramin Bank which

shall operate within the local limits of the district of Jaunpur

in the State of Uttar Pradesh.

S.O. 246(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks Act,

1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after consultation

with the Reserve Bank of India and Union Bank of India,

by which Gomti Gramin Bank has been sponsored, specifies

Jaunpur as the place where Gomti Gramin Bank shall have

its head office,
