CUSTOMS

G.S.R. 261(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962) the Central Government, being satisfied that it is neces-

sary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts aeroplane

spare parts, when imported into India for the servicing of

aeroplane, from so much of that portion of the duty of

customs leviable thereon which is specified in the First Sche-

dule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, as is in excess of 3 per

cent ad valorem and from the whole of the additional duty

leviable thereon under section 3 of the second mentioned Act.

262(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962) read with sub-clause (4) of clause 47 of the Finance

Bill, 1981, which clause has, by viitue of the declaration made

in the said Bill Under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Ac(,

1931 (16 of 1931). the foice of law, the Central Government,

being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to

do, hfrcby makes the following fuitber amendment in the

notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of

Finance (Depaitment of Revenue) No. 46-Customs dated the

1st March, 1981, namely :—

In the Schedule to the said notification, after Serial No. 194

and the entries relating thereto, the followinft Serial No. and

entries shall be inserted, namely :—

"195 No. 99—Customs, dated the 1st April, 1981".
