CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 265(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central
Excise Rules, 1944,
the Central Government hereby exempts Transformers of rat-

ing of 150 K.V.A. and above, falling under Item No. 68 of
the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944
(1 of 1944), from so much of the duty of excise leviable
threon as is in excess of five per cent ad valorem.
2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive
of the 31st March, 1982.

G.S.R. 270(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the
Central Government hereby exempts Electric motors of 5
and above, falling under Item No. 30 of the First schedule
the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), from so
much of the duty of excise leviable thereon (read with any
relevant notification issued under sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of
