NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 1st April, 1981

S.O. 265(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 6 of the Bengal Chemical and Pharma-

ceutical Works Limited (Acquisition and Transfer of Under-

takings) Act, 1980 (58 of 1980), the Central Government

hereby directs that the undertakings of the Bengal Chemical

and Pharmaceutical Works Limited, and the right title

and

interest of the said company in relation to its undertakings,

which have vested in the Central Government under section

3 of the said Act, shall, instead of continuing to vest in the

Central Government, vest in an existing Government com-

pany, namely, the Smith Stanistreet Pharmaceuticals Limited,

on the 1st day of April, 1981.

S.O. 266(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of Section 7 of the Bengal Chemical and Phar-

maceutical Works limited (Acquisition Hnd Transfer of Under-

takings), Act, 1980 (58 of 1980), the Central Government

hereby declares that the undertakings of the Bengal Chemical

and Pharmaceutical Works Limited, which have been directed,

under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, to vest in

uti existing Government company, namely, the Smith Stani-

street Pharmaceuticals Limited, be transferred to a new Gov

eminent company, namely, the Bengal Chemicals and Phar-

maceuticals Limited, with effect from the 1st day of April,

1981.
