NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, Lhe 1st April, 1980

GJS.R. 185fE).—111 exorcise of lhe powers conferred by Section 58A, read

with Section 642 of tho Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Gov-

ernment in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, hereby makes tho

following rules further to amend the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules,

1975, namely :—

1. (a) These rules may be called the Co.upunies (Acceptance of Deposits)

Second Amendment Rules, 1980.

(b) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in tho

Official Gazette.

2. In the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 1975, in the proviso

to rulo 8, the following words shall be inserted at the end, namely :•—

"or (c) for conversion, with tho consent of the depositors, of deposits

into secured debentures in recordance with the guidelines fosued

by the Government of India from time to time regarding the issue of

'rights' debentures."
