NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 1st April, 1980

CUSTOMS

G.S.R.. 188(E).—In exercise of the power3 conferred

by

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), the Central Government,

being

satisfied that it is

necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts

edible oils, falling within Chapter 15 of the First Schedule to

the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) when imported

into India by the National Dairy Development Board under

an agreement between the said Board and

the co-operative

League of the United States of America from—

(i) the whole of the duty of customs, leviable

thereon

under the Firstt Schedule to the said Customs Tariff

Act; and

(ii) the whole of the additional duty leviable

thereon

under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act.

2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of

the 31st March, 1981.

&S.R. 189(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by

•ub-»ectkra (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Finance

Act, 1980 (13 of 1980) the Central Government, being satisfied

that it is necessary in the public jnlercsl so to do, hereby

makes the following amendment in notification 'of the Govern-

ment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department

of

Revenue) No. 41-Custom», dated 25th March, 1980 namely:—

In the schedule annexed to the said notification after Serial

No. 233 and the entries relating thereto the following shall

be inserted namely :—

"234 No. 65<histoms dt. 1st April, I960".

G.S.R. T90(E):— In exercise of the powers conferred^'

sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary

in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the goods specified

in column (3) of the Table annexed hereto and falling

under

the Heading No. of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff

Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) specified in the corresponding entry in

column (2) of the said Table, when imported into India for use

in the .manufacture of sports goods, from the whole of the duty

of customs leviable thereon under the said First Schedule.

G.S.R. 191(E).—In exercise of tho powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of

1962) read with sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Finance

Act, 1980 (13 of 1980), the Central Government, being satis-

fied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do. hereby

makes the following further amendment in the notification

of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (De-

partment of Revenue) No. 41-Customs, dated the 25th March,

1980, namely :—

In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, after Serial

No. 234 and tho entries relating thereto, the following shall

be inserted, namely :—

"235 No. 68-Customs, daW 1st April, 1980".
